T7610 4x 2.5' HDD conversion kit questions

I would like to add the 4x 2.5' hard drive conversion in the 5.25' bay for the T7610. While I have reviewed the below link, I do have a few questions. Also, it does look like some of the part numbers for the T7600/T7610 SKU are actually under the T7910. https://www.dell.com/support/article/ng/en/ngdhs1/sln80520/installing-five-or-more-hard-drives-into-precision-t7600-t7610-and-t7910-systems?lang=en   None the less, I have called Dell & they state that SKU 331-9320 for the T7600/T7610 is not available. The T7910 SKU is 470-ABHF & is currently available for $199.99 & contains: (Assembly, Bracket, Hard drive, 2.5, T7910) Precision T7910 HDD caddy including 4x 2.5' hot swap plastic caddies. Includes 2x HDD Fans (NPHFY) also 1x Cable/Bracket Assembly (PWRC1) with connections for 4x hot swap HDDs. On an off note, supposedly W80XH is the refurb of 470-ABHF & is only $164.99.   Question 1: The case for the T7600/T7610 look to be the exact same as the T7910. I don’t see an issue with the 5.25 bay converter from the T7910 fitting into the T7610, does anyone else?   Question 2: The T7910 fans look to be part number NPHFY ASSY,FAN,60X25,12V,PWS,AVALON Where as the T7610 fans look to be part number 31P1V ASSY,FAN,HDD,12V,60X25,PTL,BS Does anyone know what the PWS,AVALON means compared to PTL,BS? I just want to make sure as 31P1V is not available & I’d have to try & source those elsewhere.   Question 3: https://www.dell.com/community/Desktops-General/List-of-Simple-and-Yes-or-No-questions-about-the-Precision-T7910/td-p/4508318 From my the above link I would have to replace part number PWRC1 ASSY,CBL,PWR, SAS HD, T7910 With part number T5C70 ASSY,CBL,PWR/SAS,HDD,2.5,T7600 as this is the SAS 6 gbit cable & the above is a SAS 12 gbit cable. T5C70 is currently in stock & is $15.99.   Does anyone have any other suggestions or notice something that I’m missing? Thank you

Hope you get an answer. I've been trying to find the kit without any luck. I'm probably going to order the kit for the 7910 and swap out the cables.

Well no answers, but I finally bit the bullet & ordered the T7910 kit & the T7610 SAS cable.

I ordered new as I got free shipping & the refurb was like $16 to ship which really wasn't worth the difference in price then.

Since my last post they have quit selling the T7910 on the website, so I don't know how much longer the SKU will be around. They had originally stated it was back ordered for 4 days, but I did get it fairly quickly regardless. I have still not received the cable as it was shipping separately.

I haven't powered down my machine to install it yet, but at least now I've got it in hand as I coudn't source it from ebay.

What I did recently source from ebay was a T7600 front bezel since will be missing the 5.25 cover as I've got a bd-r installed. I couldn't find just the cover, so I bought a full bezel & they are running about $20 for 1 or $25 for 2.

None the less hope this helps & let me know if you ended up purchasing yours yet.

I was wondering, did the T7610 cable assembly come with the same brackets that come with the T7910 Kit? The bracket that acts as the hard drive backplane. The part number on the actual bracket is 1B23L V700 ??? 42940

I ask because I also ordered the T7910 kit for my T7910. I am converting 2 of the 4 bays to U.2 NVME drives. The first set of aftermarket cables I got I sent to a small machine shop and had the cables machined down to match the notches in the brackets. It exposed too much of the internal wiring.

What I want to do is order another set of brackets and have the brackets machined to fit the cables instead.
