H625CDW - Scan to Email issues

Purchased thhis printer for home office. I was having an issue setting up the scan to email feature. I attempted to setup my personal email acct as the sender to no avail. I then used work email in which we use Office 365. I am the sys admin at work so obviously I have the credentials to use use. Setting up the cloud acct again resulted in failure, "Unable to connect."

After finally caving in and admitting defeat, I called Dell Support. I was informed that the printer would only work with an on-premise Exchange server or a gmail acct. If I had known this, apparently it's in the manual opn page 200 and something..., I would not have purchased the printer in the first place.

After fussing around, i was able to get the Gmail acct to worek successfully but do not like the idea that the emails will not be coming from my personal email acct. (first and last name). This, to me, looks very unprofessional and would like it to use my personal acct.

Finally... My question... Has anyone gotten printers to work with a POP or IMAP acct?

SDADAMSS ,

You can click the link below to open the users manual for the Dell H625CDW Printer.  Start on page 239 of the manual and scroll down for setting up scan to email information using your POP/IMAP email settings.
