A friend told me to download the full version of the program but all i can find is the smal 1 meg file aulauncher.exe. Where can I download the full 49 meg version of dell support center 3.0. Thanks

Honestly you don't really need it. You can do everything it does yourself which is mainly checking your system for updates from Dell. Since the 630 has been out of production for quite some time updates will normally not happen.

IF you want to continue to check your self go HERE and use the enter your service tag option to bring you to the support page for your particular system build

I would agree with Davet50 on that, but, if you want the dell support center, then you can get it HERE.

There are purposely no direct links to the full installer because there are different versions depending on your machine type and operating system architecture.  The aulauncher program is also responsible for checking your system for prerequisites (service packs, .NET framework version, etc...) before beginning the installation of DSC3.

What happens when you download and run the auluancher.exe?  Do you get any error messages?  Please try the following and inform us of your results:

  1. Click Start and in the RUN box type %appdata% then press ENTER.
  2. Locate the PCDr folder and rename this folder to PCDr.bak
  3. Visit www.dell.com/dellsupportcenter and download and run the exe again.
  4. Please report your results and any messages you receive here so we can try to determine what is happening on your system to prevent the installation from completing successfully.

Davet50,

Dell Support Center 3 does much more than just notify the user of important driver, firmware, and BIOS updates.  In addition to identifying potential security risks, it can also notify you of hardare failures.  Hardware diagnostics are included which can be run manually or configured to run on a schedule in order to verify the state of your system's hardware and proactively notify you of issues.  For example, if during a scheduled scan an impending hard drive failure is suspected, you could be proactively notified before potential data loss.

Some other key features include:

Access to detailed system information where you can find very detailed device information to help you know your system better.

The Performance and Configuration History table provides way to determine potential causes of system issues.  Perhaps your system began crashing when you installed some new application or driver.  The P&C table would help you identify the cause by giving you a calendar view of system changes and events.

The Drive Space Manager provides visual representations of the files stored on your hard drive allowing you to easily find folders and files which are taking up your valuable space.

DSC3 can also be used as a support portal which provides links to online Dell resources in the Get Help tab.  This is a big post I know, but I thought I'd take the opportunity to address this misconception so others don't miss out on a valuable support tool which is provided free to Dell end-users.

If you still have your drivers disc, then boot off that for your diagnostic's, you only need that if your system is still in warranty.
