Uninstalling FastAccess facial recognition software
I've recently purchased an Inspirion 17" /Win8 which came with FastAccess Facial recognition software installed.
FastAccess kept turning ON the camera (and led) and didn't allow me to monitor when it was turning on or to fine tune when it was allowed to start using the camera (and system resources). So after a few emails with support from SensibleVision, and finding the latest version was faster and better featured - they wanted an upsell - I uninstalled it via Control Panel. It wasn't that fast - easier to type in a password, than have to smile at the camera and wait.
However there still appeared to be some slivers of it around that I never tracked down.
Now this morning, all of a sudden FastAccess pops up and wants to be trained again on my face. Seems like Dell Digital Delivery has downloaded it again. I go to Dell Digital Delivery and it doesn't allow removing FastAccess plus a few other upsell items. So I've uninstalled Dell Digital Delivery as well.
In any other place, something that keeps installing itself and being annoying is called a virus.
Am I missing anything else I should uninstall to get rid of this "viral" software.

This is horrible. I regret ever buying a Dell! This worked for a time but now my digital delivery again has installed FastAccess on my computer. I really hate having this software on my computer and I think I will never by another Dell product and never by any software by "Sensible Vision"!!! Please, Please, Please someone help me find a way to remove this program permanently so I don't have to throw it off the roof!

But it DOES! I don't know what else to tell you. This time I have also uninstalled digital delivery as well. Hopefully that will solve the problem. Again here is a product that I don't want. I did not ask for it or pay for it so I don't want the demo either and don't want my computer to keep asking me to set it up and get started!! Apparently nobody who works for FastAccess or Dell knows how to keep it from coming back. This is in my opinion a virus and I am furious that I have to keep dealing with this. You really need to pass this along and let your company know that this is really a bad way to do business!

Thank you!
Finally, Fast Access is removed. Let's hope it stays that way.

This is Sensible Vision, the makers of FastAccess. If your PC has the Dell Digital Delivery program, you will want to uncheck “FastAccess” in this program. Otherwise FastAccess will be re installed by Dell Digital Delivery.

there doesn't appear to be a way to 'uncheck' the item in Dell Digital Delivery

There is nowhere to uncheck FastAccess software in the digital delivery!! Please reply back with a solution. I agree that this feels like a virus! I don't want the software and cannot get rid of it.

Delete the FastAccess installer files from the Dell Digital Delivery directory. This should stop the automatic reinstall behavior.
C:\ProgramData\Dell\Digital Delivery\Downloads\Software\FastAccess Facial Recognition
Note: ProgramData directory is hidden by Windows default.
To make this directory visible:
1. Press the Windows key+E
2. Top left- Press the "Organize" button
3. Select "Folders and search options" in drop down menu
4. Click the "View" tab at top of box
5. Under "Advanced settings"- Locate the "Hidden files and folders" entry
6. Select "Show hidden files, folders and drives" radio button
7. Press apply, then OK
Next, uninstall FastAccess:

Thanks for the information. I think I did everything correctly however FastAccess still shows up in the Digital Delivery as "Installed". Should it have gone away or will it always show as installed? As long as it doesn't automatically install again I am happy!

This stinks...I CANNOT get it to go away...I followed all your instructions, this is ridiculous and I am sick of it showing up every single time I have to do a restart! HELP!

Hi Brian- Yes, FastAccess will always show up as installed in the Digital Delivery program. The software shouldnt automatically reinstall again, as long as the Digital Delivery program thinks it's still installed.

Me too. The only programs that I ever see on digital delivery are demos that I don't want and have uninstalled so I guess it should do the trick. I saw that you can install digital delivery again from the Dell site if you need to. If there is something I buy from them I guess I can re-install but in the meantime I hope I don't have to deal with this coming back over and over and over.

I am having the same problem with Fast Access continuing to appear.
I've tried to uninstall but in Control Panel > Uninstall Programs, the only option you get when you select Fast Access is "change." That doesn't do me any good. I want it gone.
I tried to follow the instructions given above about deleting it from the hidden ProgramData files for Dell Digital Delivery but there is no folder there for Fast Access, only for Dragon Assistant (which although it hasn't bothered me yet, is my next target for uninstalling after I resolve this, b/c I hate the mess of having programs I don't want).
Agree with a previous commenter that this is annoying enough that I am questioning future Dell purchases.

I have used Dell computers for years have thoroughly enjoyed them. I purchased a New Inspiron on August 14,2014. It is absolutely worthless. Yesterday this Quick Access thing popped up and I checked that I did not want it and it has locked my computer and I can't get it to stay on long enough to do anything. Several at times use this and the program was not wanted at all.. Needless to say I am frustrated. I want this off my computer.
