RecoverPoint DR Content Server Host Name
We are looking to use RecoverPoint for DR of our Content Server (6.0 SP1). We want to do block level replication from DC to Chicago. We are looking for the Best Practice dealing with the Host name. Our infrastructure group do not want the same host name used for two servers on the network (different IP addresses). But the Content server is configured by host name. Any info would be helpfull.

Greeting for the day and Welcome to EMC support Forum.
I request you to configure DNS Server(Domain Name System), using DNS you can eliminate the repeated host name by resolving with ipaddress or hostname using "nslookup" command. If you are ok with configuring DNS, kindly read this below mentioned link which will help you to understand the DNS configuration in step by step instruction. Kindly ignore it, if you are already aware of this. Thank you.
