Writing files to a CD

After copying and pasting some files to a CD-RW disk, it says at the top of the page "files ready to be written to the CD". What am I supposed to do next? Are these files really on the CD or not?

Clicking on the device manager, I find SAMSUNG CDRW/DVD SN-3246

If I use Roxio Easy Cd Creator 5 to record to a CD-R disk it seems to  work perfectly fine.

The problem seems to be only if I try and use the Windows XP Writing Wizard.

Hi Frank,

I've done a fairly good search and I have found some other folks
who have the same problem with the Windows XP built-in CD writing
function, but I have not found a solution.  I do not know why this
is happening.  I'll keep my eyes open for this.  If you find a solution,
I would appreciate it if you could post it.
