Dell SupportAssist not responding
I have a Dell Inspiron 5570.
Earlier today, i ran SupportAssist to optimize my laptop and then after an hour I opened it again then suddenly it's stuck at loading until it says "not responding"
Help please.

How do I uninstall supportassist? It is not listed in my control panel. What "3rd party" uninstaller can I safely use?

Dear Dell your new support assist version is still not working. If I rename the file form discussion above Support Assist recreates both files and hangs. What a shame. Dell was always reliable until this week.

There is no file called Resources after I get to the BIN. Any ideas?

I already had "New-Dell-Logo-White" and "New-Dell-Logo-White-Small" both. So I just deleted the -Small file and it worked!! Thanksss!!!

That worked for me as well! Who would have thought it was something as "small" as that!

Thank you for your response, but what are the names of the programs related to SupportAssist? I have on my computer Dell Support Assist, Dell Update, Dell Help & Support, Dell Customer Connect, and Dell WLAN & Bluetooth Client Installation.

I tried to rename the file and there was already a file with the same name. I moved the file to the desktop and Surprise! Support Assist opened. So far it seems to be working.

I tried all options under this board and it won't even load now. At least before I was getting "not responding".
I also cannot uninstall the program.
Thoughts?

Well, in my I cannot even uninstall this product. Windows pops a very cryptic message about missing or not running components in Dell Assist.

There is no new-dell-logo ... file under Resources. Post from Kumar-Dell says an update was pushed out on 28 Jul - but not sure I got it as things still not working. Get a generic message that an error occurred and try again. When I try again - I get the same error message. How can I get the update? Or should I remove and re-install Support Assist? If so, how do I do this? Thanks - any help appreciated.

It seems Dell wised up.. NOW when you launch SupportAssist, it creates a NEW file named New-Dell-Logo-White-Small.png and then when you try to launch any of the scan options, they do not advance past 'preparing'.... sigh... even if I delete BOTH files... they both get recreated on launch... and I am back in the same boat... perpetual 'preparing'.
