Log disk BCV taking long time to synchronize
Hello,
Lately our sync/split operation has been taking longer than usual. The BCV in question is the log disk. It is taking longer than normal to synchronize and has added almost 5 hours to our process. Our process has not changed, no new disks were added to the BCVs and we have not made any changes whatsoever to the DMX-3. The only thing we found out was that the dbas added 300 gb to the production database used in the split operation. Any thoughts on why this might be happening? We use the incremental process and not the full force.
Thank you!

Using Split operation, Increases the amount of Data to be Synchronize.
From Split to Sync it will take longer than Usual, if there is more data to be Synchronized.

I am not sure, pardon my newbieness, but how would I check that? I usually just query the diskgroup.

query the disk group just right after it started syncing, add -i 5 parameter so you can watch the number of megabytes to be copied over.
