Target in the mapping command

May be this is a simple question.But I want to clear by doubts.

map dev 20E6 to dir 09D:1 target=0, lun=26;

map dev 20E6 to dir 09D:1 target=0, lun=26;

what does this taeget mean ?

It's the SCSI Target ID, you can compare this to the CTD number that the host sees, It's referred as the hardware path that can be specified on Symmetrix
