OMSA on Dell Precision 7920

Question

Does anyone know if OMSA will run on a Dell Precision 7920 Rack machine running Windows Server 2016 or Windows 10?

I have looked at a lot of Dell documentation but it's not really clear if it is supported or not.

You can install OMSA on R7920. Please download OMSA 9.4.0 from below location and try. Windows 2016 is not a supported operating system on R7920 so I am not sure whether OM 9.4.0 will work on Windows 2016

RHEL 7.5 Workstation

Hi Lars,

There is no supported OMSA release for the 7920 Rack unit. If you want to test it, I think you'd probably have the best luck with Server 2016, but I'm still skeptical of the software working, as it isn't shown as compatible.

It would probably be simpler to manage the system with the iDRAC.

Hi,

OpenManage support for Dell Precision R7920 is with for Windows 10 client operating system for Windows flavor.

However, it should also work for Windows Server 2k16 OS with OpenManage v9.4. Give it a try.

When I go on to the product page for the Precision 7920 Rack workstation, then I can't find the OMSA in the list of drivers and software. I'm trying to find the official documentation about support for OMSA on Precision 7920 Rack machines. I have also been looking though the product documents/pages for OMSA but haven't finde the list of supported devices være this model is mentioned.
