HI Florian.
This feature is not limited to Windows Internet Explorer. Currently Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox are suppoted.
Most Web browsers include extensions that allow Foglight users to participate in a Kerberos-based SSO environment, which relies on the SPNEGO (Simple and Protected GSS-API Negotiation Mechanism) authentication mechanism. To enable this feature, you need to configure your Web browser to support SPNEGO authentication.
For complete information about configuring Internet Explorer and Google Chrome to support SPNEGO, see “Setting Up Internet Explorer for SSO” in the Vintela Single Sign-on for Java Deployment Guide, included in your release package. The details for configuring Mozilla Firefox are provided in the following procedure.
To configure Firefox to enable SPNEGO authentication:
1. Log in to your Windows Active Directory domain.
2. Start Firefox.
3. In the address bar, type about:config. A list of entries appears in the Firefox window.
4. Locate the entry network.negotiate-auth.trusted-uris. This entry is used to configure the sites that are permitted to engage in SPNEGO authentication with Firefox.
Tip:
You can find this entry by typing network.negotiate-auth.trusted-uris in the Filter box.
5. Double click network.negotiate-auth.trusted-uris. In the dialog box that appears, type the URL that you use to access the Foglight browser interface.
