this issue has been a problem from day 1 (about 3 years ago) when i was using win 7 and is still an issue after 2 total reformatting, an upgrade to win 10 and a full replacement of the motherboard and graphic card after i kept getting blue screens of death.
and i keep getting crashes and "not enough RAM" errors and i know from experience this hardware spec shouldn't be struggling so much with these files and am hoping that installing the graphic driver successfully would do the trick.
Sounds like a lemon.
I suggest you replace it with a new machine, and get on with your creative work. Life is short.
Some Vostros are re-badged XPS, but I think others are just Inspirons. If interested, we could help you select a more appropriate machine for this use-case / work-flow.
