Cannot Reinstall Windows (11)

Games were crashing and some apps were too, I did some troubleshooting and ended figuring maybe it was some corrupt file from a recent windows update. I decided to reset and wipe the slate clean. During the reset process I had a lot of problems where it refused to reset, it would just take me back to the desktop. So eventually I went into BIOS and was able to get it to go a bit further. I got to the point where it was telling me to setup my new windows computer. Except I could never get past the "downloading windows" portion, my computer would just restart or take me back to the "let's set up your new computer".

Eventually after trying a lot of ts I decided to just see if something was wrong with my computer rather than some software so I tried to install Ubuntu. Worked the first time and the computer is running fine. Now I'm trying to reinstall windows rather than reset and I get stuck on the part where I pick which partition I should be installing it onto. I've read that there are/is drivers/driver that I need to download separately. Far as I know I've got the appropriate VMD driver on the USB stick with the windows install but when I select the driver it just doesn't seem to work. Please HELP
