So, your OptiPlex 7050 has the latest BIOS and you did a complete/fresh clean-install to erased drive(s) ?
Do you have a slightly older installer flash-drive (like with maybe only 21H2 on it)? If so, maybe try it but off the network.
Good to hear the OptiPlex 5050 SFF will take an install of Windows-11. Those are nice little machines for offices.
Right, if only Intel 6th-Gen/7th-Gen (but have TPM-v2) it should work but it takes a clean-install. What did the readyness-test say ? (while it was still on Windows-10) Was it only complaining about the (usually perfectly fine) Intel-processor?
Just test a clean install using Windows 11 creation tool and it runs fine, no problem here. Optiplex with 6th gen CPU, TPM 1.2, and Secure boot enabled. No mod needed, just straight install.

Good posting.
One of the oldest (technology-wise) I've heard-of ... that not only worked worked, but installed without any mods-or-hacks.
Thanks for the replies. I switched to the other 7050 MFF I had and tried using a USB Windows 22H2 formatted MediaCreationTool as opposed to Rufus (3.20) and Windows DID install. I returned to the first 7050 MFF and it would NOT - it would load the image, restart and ended in a endless loop. I tried another AC adapter (same no name brand but rated for 65 watts) with the same result. I KNOW this unit did load and run with Windows 10 but a different M.2 SSD (WDC 512 GB as opposed to a SK Hynix 256 GB). I am guessing the first 7050 MFF may source a little current less -AND/OR- the SK Hynix SSD draws more current and the unit is right on the edge. I ordered another WDC drive (256 GB) before I posted and hopefully that solves the problem. I will try to post my findings when I get it.

I wondered if it had something to do with the CPU's not being 8th Gen and now updates aren't being accepted, but wasn't certain.
