2020 G7???

Question

Is Dell going to release a new G7? They are no longer listed on the website. I can’t find any info from CES, no rumors, nothing. I hope they do. I got to use a new G5 last week and it feels super cheap. Who wants small batteries and cheap plastic?

No one outside of Dell insiders will know officially, but we're unlikely to see another G7-17' system, given the recent release of the first 17' XPS in quite some time.

Oh yeah, I didn’t think of that. Honestly after this 17' I doubt I’d get another unless it’s magnesium. Too heavy to tote around. Thanks for the insight.

I’m searching for this info too. Dell didn’t say nothing about EOL for the G7s. I’m waiting for a G7 with better graphic cards custom options, as the new Dell G5 can be customized till RTX 2070 w/ Max-Q... I suppose a New G7 could come with a RTX 2070/2080 SUPER w/ Max-Q and Magnesium chassis... then it’s gonna be a killer!

If a system with those features arrives, it'll be wearing an Alienware nameplate - not Inspiron G.

Those are laptops not desktops.  The desktops are all gone....
