I have noticed that a lot of customers are doing their own flare upgrades ? Ever since i've been dealing with EMC hardware, all flare upgrades were handled by the local EMC team. I like the stringent process we have to go thru by submitting emcgrabs to be run thru HEAT to verify we are ok on the drivers/firmware/powerpath versions. Is the trend changing where it's ok for customers do their own flare upgrades. I know the upgrade process is not that complicated, but in a big shop i would expect to see a more formal process.
