Having a bit of an issue with a failed drive on a SCv3020. Nobody at the company really knows how to navigate this issue as the IT guy left 2 years ago and no one replaced him.

I logged onto Unisphere and noticed a failed drive. Order the exact same model off Amazon and follow the steps outlined here: SCv3000 and SCv3020 Storage System Owner’s Manual

The alerts page shows a line: Physical Disk Location 01-28 in Enclosure - 1 has been swapped and in the hardware section 01-28 shows as 'status: down / swap detected: yes'

When I click on 'replace disk' it idles for 5-10 minutes then says it did not detect a new drive.

Not sure what else to do. I was assuming this would be a simple swap and the rebuild would start afterwards.

01-28 still shows as down and is highlighted in red.
