My specs are:
Dim 4300
P4 1.7Ghz
1Gb sdram
Gefoce 6600GT
160Gb hard drive 7200rpm
40 Gb hard drive 5400rpm
Dvd burner
Dvd player

I have been researching the cpu upgrade for the dim 4300 and i noticed ppl have done the upgrade. I was wondering if it made much of a difference in gaming?

I have just got a 6600GT which isn't used to its max because of the slow cpu i reckon and the ram. I am not noticing much of a difference from an upgrade from a geforce fx5700 to the 6600 GT.

I have a P4 2.5Ghz which i can buy for about €70 so wondering would you recommend this? Or is the ram what is my bottle kneck?

Also when connecting the power from my graphics card i had to connect it to the floopy drive spare power connector. I s this ok? Some posts said theat it isnt. But the wire cant reach to any other connections cause all are being used and i cant change them around without stretching the cabale.
