'enter' key does not work

Question

I have a Dell Dimension 4550.  It is almost a year old.  Several days ago both 'enter' keys stoped working.  They don't appear to be stuck as they move up and down, but nothing happens.  Thanks             Gary

with the num lock light on the keyboard lit, is the enter key on the number pad (bottom right of the keyboard) not working as well? in any case, if any of the keys on the keyboard are not working, if you have a spare keyboard with the same connector (usb, ps/2) connect it to your computer & check if the problem persists. if not, it is a keyboard problem, if yes, a motherboard port problem (motherboard replacement unless you purchase a usb keyboard)
