I'm trying to get serial numbers off of a large number of Dell laptop docking stations programmatically (any programming or scripting language) and am not finding many answers. The station doesn't show up on the laptop as a separate enclosure in the Win32_SystemEnclosure WMI class and running a hardware profile turns up the same results both with and without the laptop connected.

Now I'm trying to find out if I might be able to pull the information using Dell's OMCI and even found a Dell_Docking class that's supposed to define general info for a docking station. Using powershell or VBS I'm not having much luck getting that to work and OMCI is outdated anyway. Does anyone here know if Dell Command (which it's my understanding is the updated version of OMCI) or any other Dell API or extension can pull this information? If so, can anyone point me in the right direction?
