Is it possible to remove whatever locking mechanism is present on the drives removed from VNX arrays?  I am looking to re-purpose several drives retained from a decommissioned VNX array, to do a test/poc of ScaleIO.  If the any of the SAS or SATA drives are  drives are inserted in a compatible system, the drives seem to have a lock that prevents access.  Does anyone know if there is a way to disable this locking mechanism and gain full control of the drive again?  This lock is present on every drive, but no encryption was setup on the array.
