When sizing RecoverPoing Journal LUNs it is recommended to make the journals 20% the size of the replicated LUN, if the data change rate is unknow. So in this case if I want to replicate this 1TB LUN I need my journal volumes to be 200GB.

What if, for exmaple, I have a LUN that has 1TB of useable space, but only 200GB are being used on the LUN. Will this mean that I can only configure my journal to be equal to 20% of the 200GB, which will be 40GB, or I would still want to use 20% of 1TB, which is 200GB?
