I get this error sometimes when I am trying to install certain programs. Most recently I encountered a problem with my Lexmark x83 printer so I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall. The disks are fine but halfway through the installation process I get the error message.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. I even tried to go online to the Lexmark site to get the installation and driver files and I gotthe same message halfway through the install. Is there something I need to fix in windows to get these programs to operate???
