Question About Adding Second Hard Drive
I have a Dimension 8400. It was down for almost 2 months until (thanks to the people on here) I changed the motherboard and hard drive. I installed XP on it, downloaded the DSS, Chipset, and the other significant drivers. What I wanted to know is can I use my original hard drive as a second drive? I think I can still retrieve the information on it, but there was a problem with the boot sector (I would get a blue screen with the error code 0x0000007B) and it wouldn't boot when it was my primary drive. Also, there was 1 time that the drive did get past the blue screen and the drive went into chkdsk and repaired some of the bad sectors. I'm just worried that the drive has Windows XP components on it and I don't want them to conflict with each other (if that would be the case). Please lead me in the right direction as always. Thanks!!!
