Sorry to be back so soon! I think this an easy one...I have seen numerous references to a tool called "file checker" in conjunction with use of scan disk and defrag programs. This is a new one to me and would appreciate any input...Thanks again for the ongoing help...This is a great forum with decent people and Dell is saving hundreds of hours of tech phone time each week because you are here-John

P.S. One other item..I saw some good notes on tips deleting windows temp files and internet temp files to avoid any problems, but can't find it now! Help?
