I have an Inspiron 1150 with BIOS version A07. The RTC clock on the main page of the BIOS speeds forward at a rate of about 1 year per day, or 365 times normal speed. Does anyone know if this is due to a bad CMOS battery or is it possibly indicative of a failing mobo? I can't seem to find any references to this specific issue on the web. I just found out that my CMOS battery is not only on the underside of the mobo and not accessible without removing the board, but that it is also SOLDERED IN....lol. Needless to say, I would like to get as much info about the problem as I can before I fire up the soldering iron. Thanks in advance for any help.
