I have an 8500 and am considering upgrading to a 9100.  Tax breaks mean that I should be able to do it at little cost if I can sell the 8500 for half of the cost of the new machine.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there is a good performance comparison between the 8500, 8600, and 9100.  I've seen some sketchy figures of 8600 vs 9100 but mostly relating to 3D performance.  I'd like to know if there is much difference between a 2.5GHz P4M 8500 and a 2.0GHz 755 PM 8600.  The 9100 looks like it should perform a lot better than the 8600 due to the 2x400MHz DDR vs 333MHz DDR, but the 755 has much more cache.  It's so hard to get an idea of the relative performance.

If anyone has any info or can direct me to a page that has such specs/comparisons I'd very much appreciate it.
