Hey there!

I have two (40Gb / 200Gb) IDE/ATA harddives installed in my Dimension 4400. Both are running fine.

Since C:\ and D:\ are sitting on the first 40Gb drive, I'm running out of space on the root, C:\. So I thought I use my backup 200Gb harddrive instead. Switching place, sort of speech.

I used Seagates DiskWizard to format, to set up new partitions and to copy the contents from C:\ to the newly created partition (50Gb) on the other harddisk. This process went well. I switched drivers position, the connectors and the powercords inside the PC. The jumpers I did not tough because on both drives they are set to CR (cable recognition). Right after I've pressed the boot button I'm getting the following message: \system32\hal.dll.

I guess I have to reverse the hole process, copy this file onto a floppy and that should do the trick.

My questions are: Does it do the trick and where do I find this file? Any other idears, suggestions or comments?
