Hi,

I have a Dell Latitude e7270 currently, and every time I boot my device "(A7) Me FW Downgrade - Request MeSpiLock Failed" appears and extends the boot time. I have tried multiple thing to fix this, looked at countless posts about this too and so far I have made no progress.

Specs:

i5-6300U

8GB RAM, 256GB SSD

Windows 10 Pro 1909

 

This laptop is a laptop with intel ME disabled from factor (sticker with 3 Me disabled on inside of the back panel).

Here's a list of what I have tried:

- updating the BIOS to v1.27.3 - Feb 1st 2021

- Downgrading the BIOS to v1.18.5 - Feb 6 2018

- Zaschark's solution 

- Check all drivers are up to date

I did also try the Intel ME firmware update, I knew  it wasn't going to work but it was worth the try.

It's now got me stumped. I was wondering if any of you would have any ideas on what I can try next?

The user is getting a bit frustrated and I need to hopefully find a fix or replace a quite nice laptop
