I'm heading off to college in August, and have yet to decide what computer to purchase. I was originally leaning toward an Inspiron 1000 notebook, but am now not so sure.  I do a lot of stuff online with digital photography, and I don't want to take up all of my memory or batteries working on photos, and don't know what computer can handle it without being really slow.  I also can't spend that much money.  Can somebody tell me their experiences with both notebooks and desktops to help me pick the right one for me?  Thanks in advance!
