Hey guys, I've posted to many forums trying to resolve my issue with my T3500 but haven't had any luck. It just came across my mind to try the official Dell Forums, I'm hoping my issue might be common with this model and a professional will know what's going on

Basically, I took apart my T3500 for cleaning (which I've done before without issues) and just this last time around, after putting it back together, the power button wouldn't power it up.

So far, I've used the PSU built in button feature on the back and when I hold it down, the whole system runs and the light is green.

Next, I checked all the cable connections and everything is plugged in accordingly.

After asking help on other forums, they suggested it was the control panel that the power button sits on. I bought a new replacement part off Ebay which ended up leaving me in the same boat, power button doesn't start up the computer. We came across this conclusion based on the fact that I tugged really hard on one of the connections to unplug from that piece.

Next, I read a little more online and found out about the NVRAM jump feature, so I pulled the plastic piece off the 2 pin jumper and wa-lah, the computer starts and stops using the power button so it worked after all. The computer is not fully functional though, cannot start OS (it fails), just access Bios. The strangest thing for me though, is that when I put the 2 pin plastic piece back on, the power button doesn't work anymore and I can't start the computer without the feature. This really confuses me and this is about where I'm at.

Again, I'm hoping there is a professional that is familiar with this model and knows a path to resolving my issue. I'm willing to try anything, I wish I had another T3500 to test all the parts but unfortunately, I don't.
