I have an Intellimouse 1.3A PS2 and a Dell desktop.  Lately two to three times a day the mouse simply locks up and I must reboot using the alt key to get it unlocked.  Sometimes (but not often) I have to boot more than once.  It has happened on line and off line with no apparent reason.  The mouse is still smooth and works fine until lockup.
