Okay so I admit I am a techno idiot. I just got a beautiful Dell Inspirion 530/531

Speakers plugged in correctly ...check.

I have no sound.

It showed me the sound mixer...it was up to volume 60 something.

Now it is showing me a red x on the speaker with the message " no audio output device is installed" How can this be? Its brand new!

So what do I have to do to get this baby some sound?
