I am no longer able to retrieve and use the utilty called System File Checker. Before it dissapeard, i would go to RUN, and type in "SFC". I am getting an error message that says that it canot be found. I have browsed the Windows ME disk and could not find it. Does anyone know how to find and reinstall this file? I have a Dell 4100 running Win. ME. The file/program used to be there but after installing software for a digital camera and a card reader, poof, it disapeard. Many thanks in advance to every and anyone who can push me in the right direction.
