i'm not sure where to post this since i'm not sure where the problem is, so if this is the "wrongest" place to post this message, someone please enlighten me ...

i have a problem with system freezing and although i saw some posts about the same problem, i tried things such as instaling updates to the video card (nvidia geForce mobile), and instaling new bios, checking system for viruses ... nothing worked. it does not happen all the time but it happens a lot when i'm either trying to connect to internet or when i'm disconecting. other times are rare. it happend once while i was scaning for viruses, and once while i was playing the card game. so i don't really see any connection to anything in particular. the only thing that i notice that always happens hand in hand with this is the same thing some other user had - right after it freezes, the fan starts.

i have inspiron 2650 and the operating system is WIN XP pro
