USB won't release wireless mouse

Question

I have been using a microsoft Wireless Mobile mouse 3500 with my Dell Latitude E5430.  I cannot physically unplug the mouse transceiver from the usb port? Its like it is locked in.

Did you perhaps plug the transceiver in upside down? This would result in a stuck receiver.

well I can't tell.  If I did would it work - my mouse works.
