I've got 6 PE6850's with the LSI Logic 1020/1030 SCSI controller & PE/PV 1x5 SCSI Backplane and they all have the same issue: The backplane is not detected during post, therefore none of the HDs are detected.

On these broken machines only the two LSI Logic 1020/1030 devices are shown. The backplane is getting power because the status LEDs on the HDs are on. I've checked all cables and re-seated them. I even got a new daughterboard for the backplane but it did not help. All bios/firmware is updated to the latest. 

I thought about putting in a SATA controller and just using that but there aren't any molex power connectors available to power the HDs.

 

Any ideas or am I going to have to junk these?
