Trying to get NDMP Backups working with our Symantec Backupexec 2010 (BE).  I can sucesfully appear to authenticate to the VNXe via Adding the Device to BE, using one of the Shared CIFS IPs and authenticate with username ndmp and the specified password.  When I create a selection list I can see the share name, however none of its contents, files and folders etc.  If I run a full backup of a share it appears to move forward but no files are available to select to resore.  If I create a user selection and specify a certain path on the NDMP, the job just failes.  I have the NDMP EMC Option enabled for File History.

I contacted EMC Support on this issue and they said it was related to my username in BE not using MD5.  Reading through Symantec documentation they state that the NDMP device must support MD5 user/pass inorder to work, and as long as the NDMP version is 4 everything should run and I should be able to browse the share.  Our symantec support has expired and was hoping anyone else may have some tips for us to get this resolved.
