I am finding every now and again when I try to start my Dimension 9150 that the startup freezes on the screen with the Windows 4 colour flag / shield.

 

I have tried leaving the PC but even after 30 minutes Windows will not complete loading and remains on the same screen.

 

When I restart the PC I get a message that there was a problem starting Windows and would I like to start in Safe mode, etc. 

 

When I go for the Start using the Last Known Good Configuration option, the PC starts and loads Windows fine.

 

Any ideas how to solve this annoying problem.
