I got a new XPS 13, and as I was setting up my new laptop, my old XPS 13 9380 display failed. External screens work with no issues so it can't be the graphics card. I can see barely see the screen. Most things are too dark to make out

I ended up buying a new display assuming the issue was with the display but no change.

Has anyone else had this issue? When I called an unofficial tech support they said it could cost £250 which was the price I paid for the spare screen.
