Dell Equalogic SAN Pools
I have two questions; both of which I've looked around a bit with no real definitive answers.
- We currently have two SANs in the default SAN pool. What really happens if one of the RAIDs fail?
- From what I'm finding, it is always a RAID0 and if one dies, they both die. That is not desired.
- Is that true? Or does the Pool create a failover?
- Assuming that is the case, how can I split the pool up and just let each SAN handle it's own data?
- We could just have some other form of failover in place, if needed.
Thanks for any insight into this.
