Inspiron 15 7548 Touchscreen Issues
I bought the Inspirson 15 7548 on a Windows 7 OS quite a few years back, maybe around 2015/2016 time. I immediately had touchscreen issues where the screen would touch sporadically a million times a second, making the laptop inoperable.
I immediately contacted Dell where they arranged for the touchscreen to be replaced (this was a horrible experience and took a while for them to come and actually fix it). He replaced the laptop screen and "confirmed" this was all working. Immediately, same problems occurred. (Also tried reinstalling drivers etc to no avail).
Admittedly, I did not want to be scarred by the same experience of rearranging for someone to come back and replace the screen yet again, I resorted to disabling the touchscreen driver. And then the warranty ended...
Since the Windows 10 rollout a few years back, I tried again reinstalling the drivers, but nothing so have left the touchscreen disabled.
More recently, I would really find it useful having the touchscreen functionality so looking to see if anyone has had any similar issues and managed to fix it?
From my experience of troubleshooting, I would assume its a hardware issue rather than software but I could be wrong?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
