HID Compliant touchscreen greyed out!
I have a Latitude 7389 2 in 1 pc, and the touchscreen will not work. I go to device manager and HID compliant touchscreen was there but it was greyed out and gave an error message saying "Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45), to fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer. It shows device type is HID compliant touch screen, manufacturer (standard system devices) and location "on USB input device".
I have uninstalled and when rebooted it did not come back, took me forever to get it to even show again. I have updated drivers in everything in device driver, checked for windows updates, searched dell site for the driver, ran dell support assisst, looked in microsoft catalog for a driver and still cannot get the touchscreen to work or the driver to not be greyed out. PLEASE HELP THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE.
The OS build info has changed as well!!!! WHY?
Operating system is windows 10 pro, 21H2. I have already tried troubleshooting harware but the specific tablet pc driver was not there. I tried running a full test and still NOTHING!
2 people also have this problem
