Try to stay away from upgrading your BIOS if you are on a DELL Precision M3800 mobile workstation.

I have loved the machine for over a year, powerful, reliable, I had a dead pixel and Dell support was very fast and replaced the screen.

Yet once the warranty wear off, just two months after, during a bios update (from Dell support site, I was applying all driver updates) upgrading from A06 to A07 version of the bios, the computer froze 53% into the upgrade with the fans spinning at full speed. Now I cannot even turn on the machine .. THE MOTHERBOARD IS FRIED.

It seems I'm not the only case, Dell wants me to send the computer to Texas on my own coin so they replace the motherboard... I have a bit of an issue with that as I was applying an update issued by DELL... I think Dell should pay for this repair.

Anyone else in this situation ?
