Problem with 2 modems on Win2003 SBS
Hey everybody,
I have 2 internal modems in my PowerEdge SC1420 server (Win2003 SBS):
Conexant D850 56K V.9x DFVc Modem
Conexant D850 56K V.9x DFVc Modem #2
I want to use one modem for sending and receiving faxes. The other modem is used by an other application. So I open the wizard and select one modem from the list (say #1). After the wizard is completed, modem #1 automatically receives faxes. But modem #2 is not available any more. When I try running the modem diagnostics from Control Panel for modem #2, i get this error: "OpenComm: De poort waaraan de modem is gekoppeld, kan niet worden geopend. Mogelijk is er sprake van een hardware-conflict. Ga naar Apparaatbeheer en controleer of alle apparaten naar behoren werken."
When I try to communicate using HyperTerminal with COM4 (the COM port of the modem #2), HyperTerminal says it could not open the COM port.
Does anybody know what the problem could be and how to solve it?
Thanks in advance for helping me!
