My Dell Dimension 9100 has 1 GB Ram and 250 GB HG. Running Windows XP PRO SP2.

 

What I'd like to know is why I keep getting the message "Windows has to shut down, you will lose all your information" and then my info. is gone. This has been happening more and more and I'm ready to punch it's lights out because I can't figure out why. I did a defrag, got rid of cookies. Ran a virus check. What else can I do? I don't know if this is a software or hardware problem but I'm in no position to buy another computer and I don't know if Dell will hellp me on this one. My warranty doesn't run out until next year. Does anybody know why it keeps says "Windows has run into an unexpected error and has to shut down" or does anybody know someone who would know? I really need an answer. This is happening more and more and I'm afraid the pc will crash. I just had a new hard drive put in less than six months ago and this computer is 2 years old. I did a diagnostics on the HD and it passed. So any answere from you compute geeks or gurus? I really really need it before my computer crashes on me. I need Help!!!!!! I lose all my information when that error message comes up. And I just can't figure it out.
