I have an XPS Gen 2 system. I have an old EIDE drive that I want to add to it. The drive has been jumpered as CS (Cable Select). There was no IDE cable, so I used the cable from the old computer, attached it to the system board and the drive.

I have one primary SATA drive, one CD-ROM and one DVD-RW installed. This is the second hard drive.

When I boot the system, I get no errors, and the drive cannot be seen.

Is there anything I can do to get the system to recognize that the drive is there?
