TS-L632D Burning CD Problems.
Let me first start out by saying I am not a computer noob by any means and I am usually in here answering peoples questions instead of asking them but today I want some other peoples thoughts.
Sunday night I was trying to burn some audio CD's with Nero for a trip I had on monday morning. The first CD I burned went through the motions just fine until it got to verification where it failed completely saying too many errors. So I though that was strange b/c I had not had an error for along time so I restarted my computer, put in a different disk and tried again with the same problem. I also tried burning the CD with Windows Media player with no luck. It was odd because the CD's looked un burned on the bottom and they would not play in a Standalone DVD player as well. I had a hunch they were not burning at all so I tried burning the audio CD with another computer but using the same disk that failed and it worked just fine. So I am thinking my optical drive is somewhat busted since it wont write disks. I ran dell Diagnostics before boot and it passed this test just fine. Firmware is also current on the drive as well as bios
So What do you guys/gals think? I dont want to waste 45 min on hold with Dell India to get this problem resolved under warranty if its a simple software thing I can fix myself but I am thinking this is hardware.

Oh and i wanted to know if you able to burn a DVD dual layer disc. If i got by nero info tool it indicates i can burn DVD single layer but can read a DVD dual layer and not write it.
My current drive is Optiarc, earlier it was the same mentioned in ur post. So i want to know if the TSST support burning dual layer drives.

The solution as i mentioned is to get a new drive. The problem may vanish for some months.
