Inspiron 1720 factory hard disc partition settings

Hi

Can anyone remind me of the original (factory) settings for my 1720 laptop.

Hard disc size is 250 GB and I have made some changes to the partition sizes but would like to revert back to the original.

I'm looking for info on the number of partitions, their designation and their respective sizes.

I don't want to have to do a reset.

Cheers

David

David:

That appears to be pretty close to original. The FAT16 partition is the Dell diagnostics.

Hi, David:

Assuming you have Vista, the hard drive is usually configured with a single system partition and the OS restore partition, along with the utilities partition. If you deleted the OS restore and utilities partitions, you will not be able to restore them, even using the OS Restore procedure.

Thanks Osprey

I'm running Vista Home Premium and I 'readjusted' my partion sizes to maximise partition 'C'.

My configuration is now :

Local Disk (**) - 117.6MB FAT16 (Dell Utility - OEM Service Volume)
Recovery (D:) - 10GB NTFS
OS (C:) - 220.2GB NT
Local Disk (*) - 2.4GB Unknown

I didn't make a note of the original config. and would like to know how far I now deviate.

Cheers

David
