Hello everyone,

I recently changed the battery of my Alienware m15 r1 with a non-OEM battery, as the old one was inflated and didn't hold the charge.

The new battery was said to be compatible with the model, with the exact capacity and voltage and had even the same printing as the old one.

The issue is that I can't boot the laptop on battery on full charge while it is possible when it is plugged. Once the laptop is opened, I can unplug and it hold the charge correctly. Even stranger, when the computer is low on battery, it is possible to restart unplugged.

In your opinion, what could be the issue?
